If you're writing novels, I'll provide everything from developmental analysis of plot, character, structure, to line-editing, copy editing, or if you'd prefer, a complete doctoring or rewrite. If nonfiction is your thing, I'll meet your editorial needs, whatever they may be, from straightforward content editing to helping you turn your idea for a book or article into a polished manuscript. Pitched, wrote proposals for, edited, ghost wrote, authored, and doctored books (more than 100 titles) for publishers and packagers, including Ballantine; Harper Collins; Dell; Bantam; Delacorte; Banbury; Penguin Putnam/Avery; Eagle/Lifeline; Rebus; Reader’s Digest; Chelsea House; Guilford Press; Stewart, Tabori, and Chang; Humanities Press. Fiction authors included, among many others, Fern Michaels, Bertrice Small, and Lucia St. Clair Robson. Nonfiction authors included William S. Beck, Karel F. Liem, and George Gaylord Simpson (groundbreaking theorists in evolutionary biology); Polly Young Eisendrath (renowned feminist and Jungian analyst); Paul Rivas (well-known weight loss doctor); William Mahedy (Episcopal priest and developer of the Vietnam Vet Centers Program for the Veterans Administration); and many others.
Wrote a biography of Rachel Carson (YA market) published by Chelsea House. Also wrote two novels published by Dell Books, and several stage plays produced in the Philadelphia area. Served as literary manager of the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia for two seasons and taught playwrighting there for 10 years.
