Ernie Tremblay

Ernie Tremblay – Editor

Editor/writer with broad experience in book publishing, with specialties in mass market fiction and health /medical nonfiction.

Overview

I've been in publishing since 1982. My freelance clients included major houses (Random, Dell, Ballantine, etc.), but I've also served in-house as a senior/managing editor at Rodale and Prentice Hall. Over that time, I've worn a many hats: editor, book doctor, author, ghostwriter, and dramaturg for everything from fiction to hard science to stage plays. I've also served as literary manager at a major theatre and as editorial director at a PR firm that focused on the nonprofit world. I've worked with everyone from bestselling women's fiction authors to nobel caliber scientists.

If you're writing novels, I'll provide everything from developmental analysis of plot, character, structure, to line-editing, copy editing, or if you'd prefer, a complete doctoring or rewrite. If nonfiction is your thing, I'll meet your editorial needs, whatever they may be, from straightforward content editing to helping you turn your idea for a book or article into a polished manuscript. We'll work together to make sure you end up with a top quality product to present to publishers. The books in my portfolio, below, are include both works I authored and works I edited.
