Reason for blogging
I've been active on Goodreads since 2012, and I started publishing professional pieces in late undergrad/early grad school (2014). As a writer, I feel like it's essential to participate in the wider literary community and give back. Reading and interacting with other authors is incredibly important to me. We should all support each other, including offering constructive criticism. I also really enjoy writing reviews because it helps me refine my opinions about literature--and it brings up great questions about my own work.
