Edna and Zoe are back in another amusing tale, helping their neighbors as they zoom around their snow-covered town!
Zoe loves going for walks, and when the leash clicks onto their collar, the energetic canine takes off like a rocket. Zoe has a mega case of the zoomies, and Edna, her owner, can only hold on and go for the ride; typically, Edna's feet rarely touch the ground until Zoe returns home. In Zoe Dashing through the Snow, the duo helps their community members out after a snowstorm. Can't make it up a hill? Need help catching a fish? Need a way to stop colliding with fellow ice skaters? Snowman construction problems. Avalanche. More problems are happening all around town, and Zoe is ready to tackle them all. On the ice or off it, Zoe and Edna are here to help, and the canine's leash comes in handy in every problem.
Zoe Dashing through the Snow is a laugh-out-loud children's book that is perfect for kids aged 3-7. As with the other books in the series, the illustrations are humorous and feature Zoe's leash helping the community in unique and interesting ways. Even Zoe's last pose, for the figurative camera, had me smiling. This fluffy white canine is adorable, funny, and helpful. The real-life Zoe is cute, too!
Zoe Dashing through the Snow was very entertaining, but the lack of end punctuation puzzled me. The writer included question marks and exclamation points, but periods were not always present. Periods or no periods, this book is sure to make young kids giggle. Maybe even adults, too!
I recommend reading Zoe Dashing through the Snow and seeing if your family or class can spot the 5 "hidden Zoes." I also recommend reading the other books in the Zoe the Dashing Dog Series. They are all great reads!
