The MONKI Parabola is a dynamic and engaging graphic novel about how the world lost its soul and how evil became bold. This absorbing novel derives its title from five towns: Mogadishu, Ogoni, N’Djamena, Khartoum and Isiro (MONKI). These towns form a virtual “Parabola” on the African continent. Here, someone is trying to open a gateway for something to enter our World. When activated, the virtual parabola will generate an intense rift. The rift will open an “interdimensional gateway” between hell and the World, allowing hell’s creatures to “invade and desecrate all that is good on Earth.”
What follows is an action-packed story filled with adventures and trials that pit four young humans against seemingly overwhelming evil and corruption. It's a captivating and compelling read.
The novel opens in England on the first day of 2022. A London professor has discovered a space rift in Earth’s Exosphere. The origin of this rift is located in central Africa. Professor Rosi postulates that the rift is manmade and could pose a grave threat to Planet Earth. But the professor’s desperate warnings fall on deaf ears.
Later, three young neighbors in South London find themselves neck-deep in an epic mission to save the World from paranormal and prehistoric beings intent on World domination and destruction. Ade, Ibi, and Alex are later joined by Makato. Together, they’re tasked to form a resistance force against the imminent incursion of the angel of darkness and his vile demon hordes. Can they “rediscover the power within” and “become whom they were born to be”? Can they stand their ground against seemingly indomitable evil champions or will our World fall into darkness forever?
If they fail … Well. Let’s just say that for the World to survive, failure is not an option. Can the young human warriors learn fast enough to become equipped for battle against the invading demons of darkness before it’s too late?

"It is in the children that we must once again find our courage.” Biblically literate readers will recognize many references.
The high-octane action races toward a toward a shattering crescendo in which… Oh, wait. You’ll have to read the book yourself to find that out.
The MONKI Parabola is an engaging graphic novel/Epic Fantasy that includes strong visual elements. More than 220 high resolution, photo-realistic 3D images illustrate the action, drawing readers into every moment, experience, and scene. The story thus becomes a “movie in a book.” The author maintains a basic visual style, ably moving the reader from one scene and setting to another with ease. Vibrant and variegated artwork visually support the brisk plot. Both will appeal to teens and young adults.
Once opened, this novel is hard to put down. It would make a great movie.
