- Reviewed in the United States on May 9, 2020A great story for kids that teaches friendship, teamwork and overcoming adversity. As someone who teaches martial arts to children, I see this book as a great tool to drive home valuable lessons for my students.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 1, 2022Heroes are awesome, and saving the world is spectacular. But...what happens when different members of the team disagree on how exactly to go about saving the day?
Continuing the Monkey King's World Tour, Monkey and his team head to South America. But when they arrive, they find not only a complex situation, but a deadly disharmony within their own team. But with an imprisoned princess and trapped animals on the line, the team must find a way to work together before it's all too late.
A great adventure story for ages 7 and up, this awesome book is a page-turner and a half! Perfect for reading together on a lazy afternoon, the Monkey King and his team never cease to delight as they work to save the world - and learn more about friendship along the way.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 4, 2024the story was adventurous. there was a Goddess, splatted slimy goo to the Monkey King staff that helped the Monkey King defeat thousands of evil spirit animals.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 9, 2020This is a wonderful adventure story, bringing back familiar characters and taking them to far-off places. What a fabulous thing for children, to discover the rain forest and other famous sites at such a young age. And in such a fun way. I love the illustrations as well and would like even more. I recommend this series. The animals, the evil spirits, the princess - all come alive to a child's delight. And words like "Galapagos Islands" will be familiar to them. How lovely, to see from the animals' perspective.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2020This is a great series for young kids to read! I love reading about the animals' friendship and how they get through every challenge and difficulty as they learn to work together, accept each other, forgive each other and become heroes together in the end. Kids can learn about all the wonderful places in South America as well understand the culture and distinctive landmarks. Fun and educational at the same time!
