An adorable Easter story with spectacular illustrations! Kids will cheer Finn, the bear, on as he works hard to become the Easter Bunny!
Meet Finn, the bear with a big dream—becoming the Easter Bunny! But with hops that shake the forest floor and less-than-pawfect basket-weaving skills, he has his work cut out for him. Finn's creativity and determination lead to an egg-traordinary surprise, proving that Easter magic comes in all furry shapes and sizes.
This engaging story addresses important social-emotional learning lessons like facing challenges, self-belief, and perseverance. With whimsical text and vibrant, painterly illustrations, it's the perfect addition to any home, classroom library, or Easter basket.
Finn looks and growls like a bear, but he is not the average bear in the wild or at a zoo. Aside from the adorable oversized glasses and fashion choices, his behavior and life goals are out of the norm for his species. While your typical bear catches fish to eat, Finn hides them. Instead of honey, he had a sweet tooth for chocolate. Rather than picking and eating delicious berries, he uses them to paint masterpieces. Despite all that out-of-the-norm behavior, that's not what made Finn stand out or be laughed at by his peers and father. No, his dream to become the Easter Bunny made others snicker. Why? They didn't believe any animal but a bunny could hold the prestigious title. Finn was about to prove them all wrong!Â
When you have a dream or a life goal, you must work hard to achieve it. Finn had many obstacles before him, but he was determined to master each one. Finn wasted no time training for the Easter Bunny Exam. Sugary creations. Basket weaving. Hiding eggs. Three areas proved difficult for a large bear, but that didn't mean he hung up his apron and walked away. Quite the opposite! Finn never gave up on his dream, and his hard work paid off!Â
While Finn struggled in those areas, there was one skill he shined at naturally: egg decorating! Kids will cheer Finn on as he competes to become the next Easter Bunny. They'll gasp when the unthinkable happens to the sweet bear. (No spoilers) They'll adore Finn's stylish glasses, plaid pink shorts, vest, and apron. They'll love every single moment of Finn's journey!
We all have goals, hopes, and dreams. Like Finn, we must work hard to make them come true. Finn doesn't look like us (unless you have a very hairy family member), but his actions make him a good role model for young readers.Â
This story would make a great addition to an Easter basket! I encourage you to share this cute story with your family or class and follow it up by decorating eggs.Â

I've been constructing reviews for over a decade and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. Most of the reviews will be featured on my blog (Kam's Place), Pinterest, Instagram, BlueSky, and Goodreads. Don't forget to tip your waitress! :D
