A silly story about a boy who loves root beer so much decides to start a root beer cafe with his family. Fun for all ages.
A silly story about a boy who loves root beer so much decides to start a root beer cafe with his family. Fun for all ages.
Everyone has a favorite drink they'll choose over any other beverage if it's available. Sometimes, this drink will turn our tongues a different color or give us a colorful mustache. In this uproariously silly story, the young boy's love for root beer is taken to the extreme. He drank it morning, noon, and night, turning his teeth brown and necessitating a visit to the dentist ASAP.
The dentist suggested the boy stop consuming so much of the soft drink, but rather than taking the dentist's advice, the boy asked the dentist to try the root beer and give their honest opinion. One taste of the naturally caffeine-free beverage and the dentist was hooked, soon sporting a brown smile like her patient's. Unfortunately, we didn't get a visual confirmation of the fact. The artist did provide many hilarious images of other people who became instant fans after one sip.
Person after person became root beer enthusiasts, sporting two rows of brown teeth. While many characters didn't mind their choppers changed color to that of mud, one visitor thought brown teeth were disgusting. (Read the story for more details.) The nameless child and star of the story wanted to share his love with the world, and his parents and sister were on board with his vision. Together, they opened Brown Tooth Café, an establishment dedicated to their favorite beverage: root beer!
Word spread, and soon, the café filled with happy patrons flashing brown teeth. The images of the discolored teeth were funny, but the artist saved the most hilarious image for the end. It had me laughing out loud and was the perfect ending to this fun and humorous story. (No spoilers. Once again, I recommend you read the book!)
Unfortunately, the story had a few noticeable editing errors, so I advise another editing pass. But overall, I enjoyed this story very much. It was an entertaining read with amusing illustrations that'll have your child grinning and (probably) thirsting for the cold beverage. So, share this story with your family and quench your thirst with a glass of root beer!
My recommended reading age for this delightful story is 2-8 years. It's a perfect read for young children who enjoy a good laugh and a fun story and (of course) love root beer!
