About the author

After receiving a late diagnosis of Asperger’s and experiencing life-shattering trauma at age 20, Daniel spent seven years struggling to keep the effects of these events from spilling into every aspect of his life.
Daniel initially developed Beyond Intention as a lifeline while he grappled with suicidal thoughts and ideation. This simple, four-step process transformed his life from misery to celebration. Daniel realized he could help others do the same, and thus Beyond Intention was born.
Daniel discovered a path to lasting joy and purpose in his life, and he wants nothing more than to share the tools that saved his life. To that end, he lives by this mission statement:
“Spearhead an evolutionary uplift in universal consciousness by awakening people to the importance of their Unique Role already encoded within. This deep and often ignored or undervalued passion is defined as their Dream.”
Daniel shares his vision of empowerment and joy globally through public speaking, workshops, books he has authored, blogging and his “Do it With Dan” podcast series. In addition, Daniel offers individual and group coaching and consultations.
Daniel is also a voracious reader, publicly documenting his challenge to read a book every week. He loves to travel, writes and performs as a singer-songwriter, practices Kundalini yoga, meditation and stays active with Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. Dan’s open and honest story of his own path is inspiring and enlightening. The resources and reviews in this book are phenomenal. I highly recommend this book!

- Reviewed in the United States on September 14, 2019UK author Daniel Mangena starts off his book here with admitting that he is not a scientist or mystic or sage but has gained much of his knowledge and insights from the school called life as we all learn about everything from it by what we go through and what we encounter. Mangena tells us that through this book, we will be learning how to direct our lives by choosing “here and now” paths that connect with the desired results that we all want to gain in life. Mangena further states that if we consider all the experiences that we have gone through, we will come to realize that the “only thing that has been present through it all is: us.” He tells us that we are the key figures through all the times we win, we learn a lesson, and in every challenge that we face.” Throughout this book, Mangena talks about his paradigm that he calls, “Beyond Intention”, which is a system of steps, tools and knowledge that he believes will help those who take part in it achieve their full potentials, attaining happiness, successes and the like. Also, Mangena informs us the readers that “Beyond Intention” is “structured to ‘reprogram the operating system that we manage so that there will be no need to focus on the conscious’ exceeding of the unconscious programs in us for they are all operating side by side for our supreme goodness.” Near the end of this intriguing book, Mangena is said to have initially developed “Beyond Intention” as a lifeline for his overwhelming suicidal thoughts. This basic, 4-step process really ended up turning his misery to happiness and as a result, making him want to share it with the world to which the full “Beyond Intention” system came into fruition.
This is an interesting, intriguing, but exceptional work because there are some grammatical drawbacks here and there but all in all, Mangena comes through as positive and very devoted to his creation, the Beyond Intention paradigm. He gives some great points and easily seems to describe his system in great detail. Mangena does give instances of when he was feeling low and depressive and how he utilizes his program every now and then to erase the feelings of doubt and negativity that may rise. I found this book to be an easy-to-read experience as well as a short and detailed book that all who may decide to read it may comprehend and understand.
I recommend this book to the depressed soul who has tried but to no avail therapy and any other psychological assistance there is out there. Just give this guy’s “Beyond Intention” some of your time and who knows, maybe it will work for you. Mangena lists all of his social media links and websites at the end of this book so that you can try him and his help out for your depression or suicidal thoughts. I think it works for the reluctant reader for it is only a 100 or less pages in length. I read this on kindle so it went by so fast and I was able to complete in three days long. I know it could be shorter for you, who knows? Alright, have fun and enjoy okay? Good day!

- Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2023I just finished re-reading Stepping Beyond Intention for the 3rd time. I get something new out of each time I go through it. I’ve been following Dan for a few years now and he’s personally helped my wife and me in indescribable ways. So this review is not just about Dan’s book, but also about Dan’s life mission as a whole. He’s a 5 star guy with a 5 star book :)
So if you’re considering buying the book, do it. It’s not just teaching, but there’s places to stop and apply it immediately. Dan’s insights, both in the book and in his other programs, have seriously shifted my outlook in powerful ways. The fact that you can access these teachings for the low price of a book, it’s a no-brainer. If you're open to changing your life and achieving your goals without the standard hustle message, this is a must-read. Five stars all the way!

The media could not be loaded.
Im going to have to read it again and bitesize a few things to continue my growth but the changes i have seen through Dan's work have been for the better and i refuse to regress.
He doesn't claim to have the answers just the tools to nurture and encourage self discovery and development which for a skeptic like myself was hard to allow but now its a MUST in multiple parts of my day.
Easy read, clear cut sections and clarity in explanation which is very important to me.
Be open to growth; it could start right here.

5.0 out of 5 stars Read if you want to change your life
This book gives a great insight into how little changes can positively impact you life. Written well in an authentic manner, with easy to follow explanations around exercises. Would highly recommend for those interested in LOA, mindfulness and wanting to change behaviour for hitting goals.
I’ve read this twice now and it’s a book I will read a few times a year to refresh myself.
