SACRED ANIMAL ACTIVISM
Born in the 1960s, nature child Vikki knew she wanted to help animals, but due to life circumstances became an Enrolled Nurse, helping people instead. Her dreams of becoming a veterinarian and poet were long gone, as was her dream of serving the world... Until the questions "Why am I here?" and "Who am I?" prompted Vikki to search through New Age books and attend festivals to seek answers to this mystery.
In 2012, Vikki went to a festival, beginning a spiritual journey to discover her creative side and her chance to help animals. Vikki learned how to be an energy healer for herself and animals.
Vikki is also passionate about animal activism. Activism had often brought up feelings of hopelessness and rage for Vikki. She soon realised her soul had the answers to creating a better relationship with animals, because it loves unconditionally and understands polarity. Through the seminars, Vikki learned about sacred activism, which defused the anger and pain caused by ordinary activism.
In this book, Vikki shares the ways her soul and divine connection have uplifted her from rage at and hopelessness over humanity’s relationship with animals to a place of peace and joy.
CHAPTER FOUR
A MISSION OF LOVE WAS CREATED
Having felt the health benefits of cleaning chakras for myself, and leaving behind “not good enough” and “poverty consciousness” to a degree, I started looking for what my soul really wanted to do in this life. Why was I born? In my heart I still wanted to save the world through helping animals. I kept asking for guidance, praying for help; doing seminars, clearing fears and self-limitations. How could I help animals using IYS therapy and the tools taught in the spiritual Path of Ease and Grace?
Now that my energy body was holding a higher vibration, I wanted to change my life. I soon realised that by changing myself, my life did change.
To become an animal energy healer was the goal now. I started doing healings on my own animals. I had a vision to change the way we care for animals to include energy healings. I started using energy work in my horse training and care. I did many free healings for a local rescue group to help foster parents settle an animal, or new owners to solve teething problems. Still, I am only one person; many animals need healing, and there are many problems. So, I keep using my spiritual practices to ask for help. I found that once I started praying, I couldn’t stop.
When I did a healing on a stray cat or dog, they did not have bright and bouncy auras and chakras. Nor were they happy when I spoke to them. Many were confused as to what was happening to them. But once I explained what was happening, once they were grounded and swept, and had energy put in, they became a different animal. Animal spirits are very easy-going and service-driven; they are servants of nature. They are here to assist humans and each other. They are very eager. I love to speak to them, as they just get to the point. They are happy to be helped back to connection to unity and love, excited to be onto a new adventure, and so humble. I am in awe of an animal’s capacity to love. Once their energy is balanced again there is nothing to forgive; they just pick themselves back up and find the inner joy again.
