Remarkable storytelling and illustrations that will teach your child how to be a good sport!
Patsy loves to play pickleball. And she loves to win! In fact, Patsy has never lost a single game of pickleball, thanks to her lucky sour pickle. But when her lucky pickle goes missing, Patsy has to face a new challenge. And with a little help from her pickleball friends, Patsy learns the true meaning of being a good sport.
Pickleball Patsy And Her Lucky Pickle is the picture book you need to teach your young reader how to be a good sport. If you are in the market for a book that will remind young readers to play with the right attitude, then this is the book for you. Pick up a copy of Pickleball Patsy And Her Lucky Pickle at your local bookstore.
Pasty plays Pickleball really well. But she has lost her lucky pickle, and now she cannot seem to win any of her games. Pasty must make a choice: play the game with the right attitude, or destroy the fun for her Pickleball friends.
This picture book is filled with remarkable illustrations that are both entertaining and beautiful. The colour scheme is easy for young readers to associate with and enjoy too. Each picture of Patsy is beautiful and helps to develop her character and the plot. I believe more picture books about Patsy's adventures will make her into a beloved household name.
While it is common for picture books to use a rhyming scheme to tell their story, the writer, Gerri Lewis, does not rely on this simplistic tool. She gives children the benefit of the doubt and presents the story without any fluff. This means the writer believes in the ability of young readers to analyze and make decisions without sending them into a musical jig.
My one feedback is that it is shorter than most picture books at 20 pages long. Whereas, most picture books are typically 32 pages in length.
Nonetheless, I would encourage young readers to pick up a copy of Pickleball Patsy And Her Lucky Pickle at your local bookstore or online. The illustrations are beautiful and entertaining, and the plot and characters are well developed.

I believe a great book contains a strong character along with a dilemma, mixed in with a bit of silliness and a wonderful moral. It's my artistic ability of visualizing while writing and getting down to a child’s level of thinking that is the heart of my storytelling. view profile
