Inspired by her own families experiences during the Coronavirus pandemic, Brianna wrote this new short story in hopes to provided young children a sense of inclusion during a time in our life’s that has been confusing, scary and isolated. Although we have all been in lockdown and separated from our friends and family, we can connect through the similar experiences we are all facing. This short tale uses rhyming schemes to make it a fun and enjoyable read. This was a clever choice since it makes the book easy to read, despite the difficulty of the topic. However, there are a few blank verses. Nonetheless, it is a very enjoyable read.
The drawings are aesthetically pleasing and they add humor and entertainment to each page. I particularly liked the drawing of the parents in ninja suits as the baby looks on in wonder; it's hilarious!
