Milo's Pet Problem is a funny, feel-good story about curiosity, determination, and one unforgettable quest for the perfect companion.
Across the world, at this very moment, numerous children are asking their parents the same question: Can we have a pet? No matter what animal you invite into your home, they have one thing in common: they are a lot of work. Maybe some more than others. Milo's mom gave this reasoning to her son why he couldn't have a pet, but her following statement was shocking. She suddenly decided he could have a pet if he found one in the woods. His mother quickly discovered the error in her challenge.
Milo immediately set off to find an animal, and each one caused problems comically. The little boy didn't see an issue with the hedgehog's spikes, but his mom's backside sure did. The child also thought a wild skunk would make a great addition to their family. Obviously, that idea stunk. Milo found and brought home two more pets, and they were also shown the door. (Read the story to find out what they were.)
Every pet Milo brought home did not pass the mom test, and this saddened the sweet child. He thought he'd never find the "perfect pet." Oh, don't worry, he does; this is a children's picture book after all, where happily ever after reigns supreme. Read the story to discover what animal became the perfect pet and learn what Milo named them. The name is a mouthful, but cute like this story.
Milo's Pet Problem takes children on a funny journey where a mom discovers that suggesting her son bring home a wild animal for a pet might not be the wisest idea. While real-life moms will probably agree wild animals have no place in their home, this book does. Bright and amusing illustrations bring the comical storyline alive. There were issues with the text's visibility due to its placement on a busy background, though. Moving the text to a less busy location and adding an overlay would significantly enhance the text's visibility on the page.
Join Milo as he goes on a quest to find his perfect pet. Watch in amusement as each pet candidate makes a lasting impression on Milo's mom. See if you can guess what animal will be joining his family before it's unveiled!
