Kung-Fu Whiskers: Big Dreams. Small Paws is a hilarious tale of a Siamese kitty who loves to show off his kung-fu master skills.
Do you have a mischievous kitty who loves to cause a mess? Do you love watching videos of cats pushing cups off tables or startling their owners with a sneak attack? If you answered yes, then you will want to check out Kung-Fu Whiskers: Big Dreams. Small Paws.
Jean-Luc is an adorable Siamese kitty with bright blue eyes and kung-fu on their mind. He loves sleeping in the sun, but at night, he's on the move in his hometown of Gemini. He kicks, chops, and zooms around their home and neighborhood. His martial arts skills were humorously displayed in many poses and locations. I loved the image of Jean-Luc taking on paper rolls while his little, green wormy friend watched from above. The illustration of the human and Jean-Luc having a stare-down was cute. The yellow worm joining in on the who-will-blink-first showdown was an amusing touch. Read the story and see if you can spot a worm in each frame!
The wormy friend wasn't the same color throughout the story, which I wondered was intentional or not. I would have preferred the scene stealer to be of consistent color. Plus, I wish their image were hanging on the wall, as Jean-Luc knocked over a cup, instead of the three-pronged one.
Jean-Luc caused a lot of trouble, but he was so cute doing it. His I'm sorry face will have many saying, "Aww." His owners' out-of-the-box idea for redirecting the kitty's behavior was adorable and ingenious. You must read the story to discover their brilliant idea and Jean Luc's new outfit. Cat fans will love the story. Even non-cat fans will find themselves laughing.
Jean-Luc is not a purrfect kitty, but they are an adorable one, and so is Kung-Fu Whiskers: Big dreams. Small paws. Check out the story, which was inspired by the author's own silly kitty.
My recommended reading age is 3-8 years.
