What if your face, your features, and your unique presence carried untold stories — not just about your style, but about who you truly are?
Here, you’ll explore the hidden worlds encoded in your features, discover how beauty is born from depth, and learn how to craft a style that reflects the truth of who you are.
This book isn’t just about looking beautiful — it’s about seeing yourself. It’s for those who feel there’s more beneath the surface — a richness in their character, a depth in their spirit — that deserves to be expressed outwardly. It’s for anyone who senses a gap between how they feel inside and how they show up in the world.
You’ll learn to read the language of your features, to see your appearance not as a mask, but as a mirror of your inner self. You’ll discover that style, when rooted in self-knowledge, becomes a powerful tool for authenticity — not performance.
For creative souls, helping professionals, or simply someone seeking new ways to express yourself,
If you’re ready to see yourself — and the world — more deeply, this “how to find yourself workbook” is for you.

Hello there,
If you’ve opened this book, it means you have an interest in self-discovery. I invite you on an exciting journey to understand yourself —who you truly are— through an engaging approach: exploring your appearance. If you’ve ever felt the pull to look deeper, to see more, and to become more fully yourself, then this book is for you. But first, let's ask ourselves a question.
Why is it so important to understand who we are?
Finding your style isn’t just about uncovering your truth—it’s about returning to who you were before society imposed labels and expectations on you.
One of life’s sad paradoxes is that we often know others better than we know ourselves. Immersed in the noise of the outside world, we become experts at reading people—their style, emotions, desires—yet we forget to listen to the quiet truths of our own hearts. When people don’t discover their authentic selves, they often live with an unspoken sense of loss. They search for fulfillment in new jobs, relationships, homes, and lifestyles, but it all feels empty. The truth is simple: self-discovery won’t solve all your problems, but it will make life meaningful.
Beyond self-discovery, this journey has a practical goal: helping you find the right clothes. And let’s be honest—what’s the point of gratitude journaling and all those deep breathing exercises if your image screams: I’m a mess? Let’s face it—no one will see your beautiful spiritual soul if it’s hidden behind a chaotic, uninspired appearance. Such an appearance will not lead you to your goals.
When searching for your personal style, there are two approaches: from the inside out (reflecting on your values and personality, then finding clothes that express them) or from the outside in (analyzing your physical features and seeing how they reflect your inner essence). We’re going with the second approach—because the first one is tricky. You could spend years searching for yourself, finally have an epiphany… and still have no idea how to translate that into a wardrobe.
We think we know what we look like. But are we sure? Most of the time, we see ourselves in the same mirrors, under the same lighting, wearing the same clothes. Many of us have been dressing the same way for years. We silence our inner voice that whispers it’s time for a change. As a result, we become so fused with our familiar image that we can’t even imagine looking any different.
Here’s what I can promise: you’ll see yourself in a new way. You’ll make discoveries—big and small. You might even reintroduce yourself… to yourself. And chances are, you’ll uncover things about your appearance that you never even noticed before.
Our physical features aren’t random—they tell us something. If we pay close attention, we can learn far more about ourselves than we ever expected.
— Will it be difficult? — Starting something new isn’t always easy. We will try to translate the language of your appearance—not only into the language of clothing but also into the language of your soul. This isn’t always simple; it requires a trained eye and a certain perceptiveness. Every time we look at a painting, we see shapes, lines, colors, and we try to build a bridge, to understand its meaning. Sometimes, that bridge spans a vast gap, and with our cultural background and perception skills, we can’t always reach the artist’s level.
— But what if I don’t have a trained eye? — Every skill starts from zero. If you’ve ever struggled to learn a foreign language, you probably remember that wonderful moment when your brain just refused to absorb any more information, and you felt stuck at "Madrid is the capital of Spain." I beg you—don’t give up! Learning the language of beauty is not only useful but incredibly fascinating.
— Does this have anything to do with Eastern or Western physiognomy? — Physiognomy is a fascinating subject, but we won't be touching on it in this book.
If you’re ready to try, I want to encourage you to stop evaluating yourself as good or bad. Look at yourself as a masterpiece, as a work of art. Don’t judge—appreciate your appearance, your choices, and your journey. Don’t stress, don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Just try.
Forget about the impression you want to make on others. For now, there is only you.
Let’s begin.
How to Find Yourself and Your Style is a book like no other on the open market. Penned by self-proclaimed creative creative and mother of two, Alaya Aifel's 118 page title collides the worlds of fine art and self discovery to propose an alternative angle to the traditional self-help book market.
Spanning across thirteen chapters, How to Find Yourself and Your Style uses imagery of classical sculptures and art as the basis to challenge readers into thinking outside the box. For example, in the first chapter Aifel presents a series of sculptures and asks reader to consider what emotions each "face" evokes in them, does one feel more pleasing to look at than the other? What can be taken away from the sculptor's use of smooth lines versus sharp? For any readers struggling to find a response, Aifel will often helpfully call out her own reaction to the question she has set. This is a nice touch, because it not only ups the engagement levels, but gives readers a glimpse of the author's personality as well. Aifel also includes a detailed endnote section towards the end which spans into several pages of detailed references, giving credit to the artists who indirectly contributed to the bedrock of this book.
This is a really enjoyable book, with minimal wording and maximum use of imagery. The perfect read for audiences who struggle (or do not have the time) to heavily invest into a bulky self-help guide, How to Find Yourself and Your Style is very easy to flick through at whatever pace the reader chooses. The book cover is gorgeous and perfectly suits the subject matter, it would stand out for all the right reasons on anyone's bookshelf.
When it comes self discovery, there are rafts of titles which make bold promises but rarely deliver. How to Find Yourself and Your Style has managed to succeed where others have failed, making it a well-deserved five star read and an author who is now firmly sat on my follow list. I cannot wait to see where she goes next.
