INTRO
Was your first thought after reading this title something like “stress, a habit? Is my stress a habit? How do I know?”
The title catching your attention would point to yes. Your stress has become a habit. The things we need tend to find their way to us.
A surefire way of knowing that your stress has gone from occasional to habitual, other than the obvious repeated stress, is waking up stressed. Being stressed out before anything has happened, has habit written all over it.
So how did stress ever become a habit?
How do I break the stress habit?
And how do I prevent a relapse? Is a relapse even possible?
You're about to find out.
You'll be able to use what you learn right away. Unlike yoga, meditation, or running, you don't need to carve out time that you're already short of.
You'll get what you need to know. The resources are here if you want more. But for the sake of this guide, I've kept it short-n-sweet. My aim is to eliminate stress, not add more.
I've been where you are, and I've come out the other side. I tried near everything, and a lot of things worked. For a while. Or it was great, but then fell short. Leaving me questioning, "Now what?"
Always ending up in that same old debilitating loop of struggle and stress.
It took me years just to realize I didn't want to cope with stress. I didn't want to manage stress. I didn't want stress, period. I realized I had spent years practicing coping and management techniques. Never realizing, that meant I'd conformed to a life of stress.
Which is great if that's all you want. But that's not all I wanted.
That realization changed everything for me. It will for you too.
So, my course of action changed. It took years to find and learn, and then to try out and tweak different methods. Of course, it wouldn't have taken so long if I could have devoted all my time to it. But it was done while living my life, working the grind, dealing with stress.
And that's how I realized success. Suddenly I was living my life, working the grind, at ease. You'll see what I mean once you get on your way.
It's amazing how much extra time you have when you're not devoting it to worry and fatigue or controlling and solving what's not yours to control or solve. It's freeing. It's empowering. It's you.
Okay, those bolded words sound like hippie guru jargon, huh? Well, that's cuz they are.
But I don't mean those words in the hippie, Grand Poobah kinda way.
Even if I did water the daisy field I tiptoed through; I also shoveled outta the shit pile I found myself buried in.
Here's what I mean.
Amazing isn't the bright light of God shining down on me. It's more like the bubbly hot stringy cheese on my pizza, or the amazement I felt when I discovered the combo of sweet and spicy.
Freeing isn't so much the feeling of my soul taking flight, which I've never felt and would probably be scared if I did, but more the feeling of recess. Remember recess? Freeing. Like the feeling after spending your last dime on a concert ticket instead of a bill. Ahhhh, the best dime ever!
Empowering, not by saint-like acts of redemption or feats accomplished like planting your flag on Mt. Everest. But empowering like your first road trip. Saying no when you know they wanted you to say yes. Ending that soul-sucking dead-end relationship. Or your baby's first step towards you. For some reason, their accomplishment makes you feel a little more empowered, and yeah, amazed.
And that's the you I'm talking about.
I'm talking about the you that strives. That finds happiness, love, comfort, success when everything around you proves sorrow, hatred, distress, and failure.
And just like I found the solution while being knee-deep in the crap, so will you. No grand gestures, no significant changes need to happen first. You can break your stress habit right where you are right now.
From coping with and managing stress to kickin' it to the curb.
This is your course of action changing.
~~ No more constant worrying about the bills, job, kids, grades, unexplainable rash
~~ No more anxiety about tomorrow, today, them, here, there, that weird smell
~~ No more lost sleep over what should've been said, done, obviously mine all along
~~ No more fear about doing it wrong, not being good enough, being like mom
How's this going to happen now when it's failed so many times before?
Now you'll be putting into practice the principles of metaphysics. Don't be bothered if you've never heard of metaphysics or don't believe in it, that doesn't change the facts of how it works.
But without knowing how metaphysics works in your life, a lot of damage can be done. Once you have the knowledge and use it, you can turn everything around and have a new start.
~~ These principles create change
~~ They're laid out to specifically break the stress habit
~~ Simultaneously evoking and empowering your natural state of being
~~ Unleashing an advanced quality of life
Your success isn't dependent on, or influenced by your religion, money, power, or placement. It depends only on your choices. As soon as you decide to live your life stress-free rather than stress-full, a choice has been made.
This guide is the map from your choice to your reality.
It'll guide you from the restriction of everyday stress to the freedom in everyday living.
Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires courage."
The words and follow it are vital.
I've taken out the guesswork and made it as painless as possible. I'm not gonna lie, it's not entirely painless. But for you, it might be. There's only one practice that could stir up some pain. But hey, you've been through pain before. Right?
It'll pay off. You'll not only break your stress habit, you'll leap toward self-mastery too.
~~ You'll learn the toughest obstacle to kicking the stress habit and how to beat it
~~ You'll discover that stress is a habit, how it became a habit and how to break it
~~ You'll find your originating stress factor and eliminate it
~~ You'll reunite and realign with what's important to you
~~ You'll regain energy, power, security, faith, peace and learn how to keep it
~~ You'll learn the truth about influences
~~ The meaning of challenges and …
~~ How to master control
To know, be true to, and have an understanding of your self is what it's all about. That's what metaphysics teaches. And since stress stems from your self, that's where you gotta go to break the habit.
So, ya ready?
I'm gonna tell you the hardest part about breaking the stress habit right off the bat.
