I read the eBook version of this book, and received a free review copy. This is an honest review, left of my own volition.
The introduction section of my review copy was missing, so I did not get an overview of the content before reading. However, as a long-term low-carb eater I was delighted to find that many of the recipes in this book are keto-friendly. There are a range of recipes from those that keto followers would be familiar with, such as the staple cloud bread to more adventurous creations. Some of the recipes are heavier on the carbs, so not for everyone, but they are still healthy and nutritious options. If I had one criticism it would be that there’s no clear way to see at a glance which recipes are lower carb. I would have liked the book to be partitioned or the lower carb recipes highlighted for ease of reference. Maybe marking the recipes in the contents would also be helpful to readers.
There is a breakdown of the nutritional values after each recipe, so you can check the info before choosing to cook any of the dishes. If you’re looking for a strictly keto cookbook this isn’t the one for you. However, overall the book is very easy to follow, and has given me some great ideas to add to my repertoire. The illustrations are attractive and the language is easy to read and understand.
Although I have read the eBook I would definitely consider buying a physical copy of the book for my personal use, and would recommend this book to others. I don’t know if the book really met its claims of transforming my life in the kitchen or views on dieting, but perhaps that will come in the introduction that was missing from my review copy. Thanks for the opportunity to read and try out some great new recipes.
