Falling many times is guaranteed, but getting up and trying again
is a choice that can sometimes be difficult to make due to different
factors. What do you draw strength from when life knocks you
down? Who provides you with the solace and the courage to keep
going? Trusting is something or someone bigger than yourself can provide the lifeline in moments of vulnerability. What if you can be
always supported – in challenging and not challenging times. This
requires that you remain connected to your power source. God is
always there for you, but He has given you the free will to choose
and adopt the system that was created to communicate with Him –
prayer. To stay connected, you have to pray without ceasing.
Each poem in this book has a corresponding prayer that will help
you connect and invite God into your own situation. I pray you find
inspiration, insight and comfort knowing you are never alone. God
knew you before you were formed in your mother's womb, and the
life you have came from Him. He is closer than you think, but are
you ready for a connection with Him?
Regardless of your faith, I believe this is a divine moment of
connection, because you are reading this book. As you read through
the pages of this book, I encourage you to notice what is coming
up for you and be curious about it. Notice the feelings, emotions,
questions or objections coming up for you. Gift yourself with the
time to reflect and allow the Holy Spirit to illuminate and speak to
your heart and soul.
God loves you and He wants to walk with you so you can thrive
regardless of the challenges life throws at you. God is waiting on
you to call out to him. He will answer you.

DIVINE WHISPERS
I hear the inaudible sound
I know things I am not sure how I know
I have wisdom that was not from me
I wonder where all these came from
It can only be from the divine.
Inaudible, yet clear
Unexplainable, yet understandable
Intangible, yet tangible
Invisible, yet visible
It can only be from the divine.
I feel the wave of words coming

Whispers touches the heart when you are open to know

I am the epitome of beauty, not as you may think

The intro of Divine Whispers-THRIVE captures the essence of the book in this short phrase, "divine moment of connection." That is exactly what I found this book to be. It is also a breath in the middle of the day or after a long day at work, and don't we all need that in today's busy world? These pages were the reminder I needed for self-care, connecting to the divine, and putting priority on spiritual support. I am so glad I picked up this book.
THRIVE combines elements of poetry, with a corresponding prayer, and then a question that allows readers to do the self-reflective work related to the topic. It also includes black & white pictures that give the pages just enough enhancement without distraction.
Two of the poem standouts for me where "Lay it All Down" and "You Say I Am". The writing is ethereal, authentic, and uplifting. There is also something in the way the questions are worded that made me feel I wanted to answer them; I wanted to make the connection and do the work. I think this was because of the clean format and the succinctness of the way the questions were worded; matched with both the poem and the prayer.
I enjoyed this so much, as I was reading names of friends and family went through my head, ones I thought would both enjoy the book but also do the corresponding work. If you know someone who needs an uplift, a spark of courage, a reminder to connect with the divine, or just someone looking for a wholesome book for some devotional work, this is the one to recommend.
