A gripping tale of friendship in a world of greed, power, politics and magic
Justin Waine spins a great tale gradually letting you know more about each character as they battle together to overcome the odds facing them. As the five characters strive to survive and prosper you are never sure what will happen next. The surprises keep coming from start to the end. As you get to know each character’s strengths and fears there is a thread of uncertainty. Can they really trust each other? Will they stand together when it matters? I couldn’t put this book down. I had to keep reading to find out whether they were going to be ok. The description of unknown places and the characters who lived in them was captivating.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading future novels from Justin Waine.
Great start to a new series
A convincing group of misfit characters come together for a series of well paced adventures in a genuine new setting. I genuinely wanted to know more about the background of each of the company and some very clever plot devices set the series up very well.
