When my kids were little, they would get scolded for fidgeting or dancing during story time at the library or in class. What the librarians didn’t take into account is that some children - many children - listen best when they are moving and acting out what they hear. If your reader is anything like my kids, they will really appreciate Once Upon a Dance’s unique approach to story time.
And for those young dancers out there who simply can’t sit still while they listen, put on a little light piano music in the background as you read to accompany story time. You just might see Brielle’s birthday magic come to life right in front of your eyes!
