After linking back up with an old flame 15 years after we have not been in each otherâs presence, it was like we never missed a beat. A twin flame is an intense soul connection with someone thought to be a person's other half, sometimes called a "mirror soul. This book is filled with love letters that depict loss, love, connection and intense feelings. The words in this were just coming to me during the night as I slept and something told me to put them in a book because the world needed it so thatâs what I did. I hadnât written anything for about 15 years which was the last time I saw him which is also why I believe people would love the poetry in the book. I just want to promote love we have enough people promoting hate.

Feeling high like Iâm crowd surfing
Returning back to the ground like a crash dummy
Love is a fleeting feeling but when itâs real there is no ending
Itâs like getting high for the first time
My mind
My body
My soul
Been craving that feeling
Been with a few but none have compared to you Chasing a dream while living a nightmare Chasing a taste but never finding
that sensation that had my mind and body wasted. Itâs the swag for me
Itâs the laughs for me
Itâs the love for me
Itâs the way you look at me
If asked to describe this feeling
it would be like the ocean and
the sky meeting in the middle!
This poetry collection is full of sexual energy, spiritual connection, rap and lyrical quality as well as heartfelt emotions of a love outpouring from the poet. In the poetâs words, âThe assignment was definitely understoodâ and I loved reading every part and every poem.Â
The concept of a twin flame is so wonderfully presented in this poetry book. I love how the twin flame image is constantly reintroduced in different poems to consolidate the overall theme. My favorite lines include âcanât stay down, kings donât do that,â âmy pussy runs like the Nile Riverâ, âconsumed with thoughts of you/mind creating plots,â âtrying to pour us into cups that couldnât hold usâ. The imagery is so unique and flavorful.Â
The off-rhyming is on point, âspeaks/heat, intertwined/design,â the poet really has a flair for off-rhyming and I am a sucker for these types of emotional and passionate poems. This collection captures what love in the 21st century looks like and more specifically in a world of pain, there is also so much love to be celebrated, and this is captured so well in this poetry collection.Â
Itâs the vibe for me, and I also love the biblical references, such as âlike Jesus did Lazarus, You brought me back from the dead,â and evidently the sexual imagery was on point and truly made me have a big goofy smile as I read through the collection.Â
The poems have a vein in stream of consciousness, and the thoughts and love letters flow from the heart of the poet. The design of the book is beautiful too, the use of bold colors representing the twin flames intertwining is fascinating.Â
My only constructive criticism is one poem that did not seem to fit as well with all the other poems was the one about abusing trust and wanting to escape. It seems unfitting because the rest of the poems are about living in love with this Mr. Glover, so I wonder if this particular poem is about a past relationship. There is also a small typo, âyou would ofâ should be âyou would have/wouldâveâ and may need rectification unless that is an artistic choice.Â
Overall, itâs a lovable collection and one I would be honored to have on my bookshelves. Thank you for writing this collection, the world needs to read and experience what I was able to experience too!Â
