Badfreaky The Dinosaurs and Ancient Greece
Once, a long time ago, in a far, faraway land, which nobody knows or has set foot on, lived the world’s meanest witch of all time. Badfreaky was her name; a pitch-black magpie would always sit on her shoulder. From being very mean, she became very good, living through many adventures until she achieved what she wanted most in the world and all the stars...
This is the continuation of her story:
CHAPTER 1
The Chase
The weather was wonderful. Admiral and his friends were soaking up the warm, orange rays of the sun on Bananamangoisland’s sandy beach, and the multicolored parrots in the surrounding exotic trees were tweeting ceaselessly, in a solid gossipy mood.
Fahaleon, the only chameleon on the island, was sunbathing on a tree branch, not flinching an eyelid, when a chubby, careless insect landed a few centimeters away. In split seconds, the chameleon’s huge sticky tongue unfolded, capturing the unlucky insect and swiftly transferring it to his mouth. Changing color while swallowing, he thought:
“Survival is difficult, but sometimes luck smiles on you. And when it does, smile back because tomorrow you never know what comes your way.”
Goodluckydragonax, Badfreaky, and Kixy had taken off Carnivordragonland and flew one thousand feet above Friendlylake. They were welcoming the future with great enthusiasm and uncontainable optimism. There was no fear in their soul. Whoever is afraid of life doesn’t live; just merely exists.
Their destination was Blackpyramidcloudymountain. It was standing majestically and imposingly a few kilometers away, waiting for them. But it wasn’t waiting alone. Badblackluckgiver, with her Hyperspeedcloud, was also waiting at nine thousand feet. Goodwhitehonestoldman had taught her that, for her to achieve her goals in life, she must have four things:
a) To know what she wants
b) To know what she is capable of
c) to find within her the unstoppable strength to persist
d) To arm herself with unceasing courage: patience.
The malicious witch had the impression that she didn’t lack any of these. The only thing that was not yet hers was Beyondstarcosmon. She considered no less; obtaining it was just a matter of time. Naturally, to succeed, she needed to keep a close eye on Badfreaky. The best thing for her to do would be to capture the good witch and grab the opportunity when Beyondstarcosmon appeared before her. She put her cunning plan into effect.
Spytaletellerax was flying next to her and had just informed her of the goings on at Carnivordragonland when the exiled, worthless dragon Grabclawfingerix appeared. In a few words, she explained what they had to do:
“Right, we don’t have time to waste. Goodluckydragonax and Badfreaky have to be destroyed at any cost. They must not, under any circumstances, reach my house. Do your best, and you will be rewarded accordingly. Burn them in the air! Annihilate them! Do whatever you think necessary to make them disappear off the face of Eggrootland.”
“I will do it with the greatest of pleasure! The time has come for me to get my revenge. That awful witch will bitterly regret what she did to me!” agreed Grabclawfingerix with blatant hate in his eyes.
“You go first, and I will follow suit shortly,” urged the sly and scheming Spytaletellerax.
Goodluckydragonax and Badfreaky with Kixy, unsuspecting, didn’t have the slightest idea of what was happening high above them. They were enjoying their flight without a care in the world up until… air disturbances started! The disagreements that is. Goodluckydragonax’s one head was saying they were flying too high, the other too low, and the third that they were just fine where they were.
Badfreaky pointed out that there had to be teamwork and agreement between them to get along harmoniously and peacefully.
“I might be wrong, but I think you are wasting your breath,” Kixy said, troubled.
“I know how difficult it is, but I am convinced that in the end, he will manage. He really doesn’t have a choice,” Badfreaky added.
Suddenly, while they were flying, an enormous shadow fell upon them! They all looked up, and what they saw terrified them! Grabclawfingerix was flying with his wings in full stretch, only a few meters above them! He needn’t say anything. The look in his eyes said all. They showed deep hatred and lust for revenge!
In a blink of an eye, Goodluckydragonax lost his self-control resulting in total confusion about what must be done. His right head said to turn right, the left to turn left, and the middle head to drop abruptly in height. But he had to decide quickly because their lives were in great danger. Finally, he decided on the third option.
Grabclawfingerix followed, thinking that this time, no one would get away. He had much fire stored in him, and he would blow it all on them. But still, he had to get quite close to them, which later proved challenging.
With each of his heads doing its own thing, Goodluckydragonax began making some irregular aerial maneuvers that confused and baffled the enormous dragon with a beak instead of a mouth. As soon as he turned left because that’s what the left head wanted, the next instant, he turned right because that’s what the right head desired, and a few seconds later, he was going up and down because that’s what the middle head decided!
The large-built dragon, who was hungry for revenge, found things difficult. Because of his colossal size, he lacked the flexibility to follow the three-headed dragon's aerial maneuvers effectively. After ten minutes of relentless aerial pursuit and spewing out, without any result, all his fire resources… he gave up, utterly exhausted. Disheartened, he landed on a small hill to regain his strength.
People worldwide learned of this and, still to this day, study the evasive maneuvers of Goodluckydragonax at the Academies of Fighter Pilots!
As expected, Badblackluckgiver hadn’t had her last word yet. She had another ace up her sleeve.
She set aside the plate of lentils she was eating and gave Spytaletellerax a pill. It was one of Badmagicinventormaker’s latest discoveries. The name of the pill was Teledragonfire. With this pill, the ball of fire which shot out of the dragon’s mouth would follow its target until it hit and destroyed it. Facing this dreadful weapon, Goodluckydragonax and his friends didn’t have a chance in heaven.
People learned about this too, and they manufactured air-to-air missiles with active guidance, allowing them to shoot down enemy planes in no time.
“Go now. I am sure you will execute your mission successfully,” Badblackluckgiver said with absolute certainty.
Spytaletellerax flew with great confidence and vigor. He dived for his assault and didn’t take long to spot his prey. With his heart still pounding intensely in his chest from the fright he had previously, Goodluckydragonax had his one head looking backward to check if the vicious dragon with the beak was still chasing them. As soon as he realized that another dragon Spytaletellerax, was approaching them with great speed, he panicked! He was horrified by that dragon. He was the evilest and untrustworthy of all.
He remembered that every time he met him at Carnivordragonland, he would tease him in the worst possible way and encourage others to do the same. When he was small and couldn’t fly yet, he took him for a ride on his back to the mountains beyond so that he would teach him how to fly like a real dragon. Instead, the devious dragon left him there to be eaten by the wild beasts in the area. He then told him:
“I will leave you here now, and you must get by yourself. All of us dragons go through the same trial. If you manage to survive, you must never reveal that I brought you here. If you do this, you will be the worst traitor. Traitors are taken by Darkspidernels, huge ghost spiders which, after sucking out all your blood, throw you into the holes of the volcanoes to burn forever!”
Obviously, he was lying, but it’s tough to tell a lie from the truth when you are small. This is why you need people close to you who love, care, protect and guide you to what is right to help you avoid wrongdoing.
The four-headed little dragon believed him and was scared to death! By good fortune, a kind-hearted big bear enabled him to survive because she felt sorry for him. After a week, his mother, who was frantically searching for him, found him. She thanked the bear with all her heart and shouted so all the wild beasts in the area could hear her that they would have her to deal with if they dared to touch a single hair of her favorite bear. And the wild beasts obeyed!
So, Goodluckydragonax was paralyzed when he saw him, not knowing how to react. Badfreaky sensed the danger, took out a magic powder from her pocket, sprinkled it on the three-headed dragon, and said, trying to encourage him:
“Don’t be afraid! He is betting on your fear. Look your fear in the eyes, and your fear will be frightened and disappear. With this powder, you will be able to build up a high speed so that we can escape.”
But if only things were like that. Spytaletellerax was speeding vertically down towards them with the highest possible speed, and the only thing he needed to do was to unleash Teledragonfire.
He did this with flying colors and swerved to avoid crashing on the surface of Friendlylake. He managed this too, but not something else. He didn’t gain the height to avoid crashing into the very high, sharp rocks on the lake’s shore. He smashed into them with such force, leaving an imprint of an amorphous mass of flesh and bones. Bad always ends badly!
With the magic powder's help, the three-headed dragon was flying like the wind. He performed the most elaborate flight maneuvers to escape the fire bomb, stubbornly following him. However, Teledragonfire had “locked” onto its target, and the hyperdragoneffort made by the master of flight maneuvers, Goodluckydragonax, was not adorned with success. After 15 minutes of merciless pursuit, the unavoidable happened. The Teledragonfire eventually found its target!
Badmagicinventormaker had discovered the perfect weapon for dog fights! Hit by the self-driven bomb, Goodluckydragonax went up in flames. Soon after, he crashed into Bright Forest. Many trees were uprooted and caught fire.
Protected by her veil, Badfreaky, without the slightest injury, took immediate action. She threw another magic powder into the air, instantly forming a massive cloud. Torrential rain came down, and the fire was extinguished entirely in a few moments. Just as well, that is, because, at that moment, Anastasia arrived in a frenzy over her beloved trees.
“Dear God, disaster has hit us again!” she uttered in distress.
Nonetheless, upon seeing Badfreaky, hope began forming on her face again.
“Don’t stress yourself at all, and don’t worry. I’ll fix everything just like it was before. I also love this forest very much,” the kind witch said to ease her mind.
Without wasting time, she ran to rescue the charred dragon who had lost consciousness from the crash. His life was hanging from a thread! Badfreaky made a magic ointment from the mud and rubbed it all over his body. Simultaneously, she rubbed his three heads to help him come around.
“What happened? What’s going on? Am I still alive? My mother? Where’s my mother?” asked the three heads of the likable, injured dragon once he recovered.
“Yes, you’re alive, and soon you will be like you were before, safe and sound. Don’t worry about a thing,” Badfreaky answered.
And so it was that half an hour later, Goodluckydragonax was in the best of health. Soon Kixy also arrived, who had flown far when Teledragonfire hit its target and didn’t become prey to the flames. She confirmed with her eyes that everyone was well, and relief escaped her beak. Then again, the only thing Anastasia did was look persistently and beggingly at Badfreaky.
“All right, all right, my sweetheart. I know what you want. Come here and take them from my hand,” she said, taking out several pine seeds from her pocket. That is precisely what weepy owl wanted. Full of joy, she flew around, planting the seeds. Katerina told her reproachfully:
“It seems that you think only of your trees!”
“All in good time. Protecting the environment always has top priority,” Anastasia answered without a flinch.
After giving the snow-white owls a complete account of their adventures, Badfreaky headed towards the former clearing where her beloved petrified people and animals were found. She went past her mother and father, Allfaithful, and stood before Hardtosee a little longer. His eyes magnetized her. She had never felt like this before. The most beautiful feelings flooded her heart. Emotions that words are too poor to describe.
“Looks like there’s a great love affair going on here. The two of you must’ve arranged this before you were born,” Kixy said with a condescending smirk.
Badfreaky’s face blushed bright red; she turned her gaze reluctantly in another direction and then suddenly up at the sky because an enormous dark shadow covered everything. It was Grabclawfingerix who never gave up easily.
“We have to do something about this despicable dragon. And very quickly, too!” Kixy said, very concerned.
“Not to fear, I won’t allow any of my beloved people to be in danger. The time has come to get rid of him, once and for all,” Badfreaky agreed.
She jumped on the recently treated Goodluckydragonax and took off without any delay! Now, it was them chasing the bloodthirsty dragon. She again sprinkled some magic powder on the three-headed dragon, which doubled the maximum speed he could reach. It took them next to no time to get quite close to him.
“Freeze him!” Badfreaky shouted.
And so, it happened! Goodluckydragonax hurled a block of ice from his one mouth, which instantly froze Grabclawfingerix’s gigantic wings and tail. Unable to move his wings to fly, he rapidly began to lose height and fell spread-eagled near Dark Forest, causing a cloud of dust. He would need a long time to unfreeze. Noticing that Badfreaky had no intentions of finishing him off, Kixy went close to the ear of the frozen dragon and whispered in a harsh tone:
“Next time you try to harm my good witch or her beloved people, do you know what she said she will do to you? She will rip out your ugly eyes from your stupid head and throw them to the fish in the lake to eat! And then you will be blind for the rest of your miserable life and suffer horribly! You awful, loathsome, vile dragon! Understood?”
The wounded dragon showed he got the message with a slight nod of his dizzy head. Satisfied, Kixy flew off and sat on her witch’s shoulder again.
“What did you say to him, dear Kixy?” Badfreaky queried.
“Oh, nothing. I just wanted to make sure he’s all right,” she answered, looking away.
“My goodness, how kind you are!” Badfreaky said, significantly moved.
On their return to Bright Forrest, they ensured everyone was well and made straight for Blackpyramidcloudymountain.
