Unlike some manufactured products that are designed to perform the same function with the unique identifiers being serial numbers to distinguish them, our lover, aka God, tailored us uniquely, with unique gifts, abilities and circumstances, down to unique fingerprints, such that no two humans are ever the same. This is not an accident; it can't be.

How does one review a book which reaches deep into the heart takes root and makes a room within the soul? Several books explore the topic of God's Love in detail. I myself have read some of them. Some writer managed to draw the essence of dvine love while some were random rambling without any meaning or sequence. Many famous Christian authors have also written about God and the divine love He has for us. They explored every nuance where God's love is shown in the Bible and have led discussions about it. Yet never before have I found a book like A Lover Just Like Me. I was intrigued by the title. Most often Christian books have a title which already explains what the content inside will be. The title A Lover Just Like Me took me by surprise because never before did anyone attempt to show God as a lover.
Author Dee Delsey has done a fantabulous job in this book. She has written about God as human as us. A God with feelings, emotions and sentiments, just like you and me. Her book makes the reader come closer to God with each Line. He is not portrayed as a mystical figure who resides in heaven and shower us His children with bounty or wrath depending upon our deeds. Instead Dee has revealed a complelety new way of looking at God. Each one of us has experienced love in one form or the other. Hence it's easier to understand love with respect to God. Each chapter is titled with one aspect of love like excitement, jealousy, patience, faith, trust, etc. Dee shows God to be human like us since He has created us in His own image. He created us so that we would love Him and place Him above everyone else.
This book would help readers feel closer to God and be able to connect with Him. He shown as our lover who loves and cares for us, is jealous when we go astray instead of loving him, is patient with our mistakes, and is pained when we turn to worldly addictions instaed of leaning upon Him.
Anyone who wants to establish a personal relationship with God and connect on distinctly deep level will surely love this book. You will discover God and understand His love better. A lover just like you and me.
