INTRODUCTION
Beloved, peace be with you, all glory to God.
What follows is shared from the same spirit that inspires a pilgrim to offer refreshment to fellow travelers, as together we journey along the way to the truth of life eternal in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Here, in part, is what Christ Jesus says in A Course in Miracles (the Course) about our journey: “The journey to God is merely the reawakening of the knowledge of where you are always, and what you are forever. It is a journey without distance to a goal that has never changed” (T-8. VI.9.6).
A Course in Miracles Cross (Miracles Cross) is a key to spiritual awakening and a better understanding of three things.
First, the Miracles Cross is a key to understanding yourself—who you are, where you are, why you are here, and what you can do right now to help the world and to make your life more meaningful.
Second, the Miracles Cross is a key to understanding the teachings of A Course in Miracles, helping to unlock the important ideas given in the Course and showing how these ideas fit together and relate to one another. This makes the teachings of the Course easy to understand, easy to apply in daily life, and easy to share with others.
And third, the Miracles Cross is a key to understanding the Christian cross in a new way - seeing the cross as both a symbol of the ego’s dream of crucifixion and death, as well as seeing the cross as a symbol showing us the way to resurrection and spiritual awakening to the peace and joy of life eternal in the Kingdom of Heaven.
To describe the Miracles Cross, our narrative begins in a state of grace (the Kingdom of Heaven), followed by a fall from grace—what the Course prefers to call “the separation”—followed by reaching a turning point, and then completed by taking a path of return and reawakening to the initial state of grace.
This type of circular narrative is found in a teaching story told by Jesus, known as the parable of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11–32). Noteworthy in both the parable and the teachings of A Course in Miracles, it is those who have freely chosen to leave the father’s house, who of their own free will must decide when they have had enough of being a stranger in a strange land and, changing their mind, make the decision to return home The Miracles Cross is a key to help you with your journey back home and reawakening to the Kingdom of Heaven.
Please note, while this author is a Christian, there is no intent to suggest the Course or Christ Jesus or the Christian faith are the only ways of returning home and spiritual awakening. As the Course says, it is but one version of the universal curriculum. There are many teachers and forms of the universal curriculum, all leading to God in the end.
May we be led by the light of God within us all. Amen. And thank you.
