I am a professional copy editor and proofreader with over 20 years’ experience. I have excellent English-language skills, and always work quickly and accurately.

When I was working in-house, I edited a number of magazines using InDesign, writing headlines, stand firsts, pull quotes and captions. I also inserted pictures, edited graphics and created runarounds, eventually sending them to print.

I have also fully edited a number of novels and books of all genres. Factual, fiction, romance, children’s, reference, historical books, you name it. One of the titles I edited is Locks (2020), the story of a young British black guy who travels to Jamaica, where he goes through a lot – a really interesting, insightful book.

Lois Davis is a children’s author I’ve also edited a few books for, including Mincemeat and the Incredible Train Ride (2020) and Mincemeat and the Magical Igloo. I’ve edited a number of books for Crux Publishing, including Bogman, Pontifex Maximus, The Devil’s Library (2017) and The Opposition to Hitler.

Along with this, I’ve edited some books for Danann Publishing, most notable if which was Meghan: Duchess Of Sussex, Queen of Style (2019). Danann have told me they want me to edit more books for them, so I’m waiting for their email.

I’m currently editing Black Beauty and Hair magazine every two months. I’ve been doing this work since early 2019. With this I edit the copy, write some captions, select pull quotes, make sure all the copy fits on the page – cutting where necessary – and ensure the magazine is ready to go to print.

I’m also editing students’ essays and dissertations through Minhand, a China-based company. I regularly edit through this site and they often send me work.

So far I have edited a large number of books, magazines, websites, theses, dissertations, essays, CVs and resumes, blogs, emails, business letters – the list goes on.
