Dave Walker - Designer

Oceanport, NJ, United States

I am an art director with 25 years of experience designing engaging covers for both signed and self-published authors.

Overview

I am an art director with a wide-ranging 25 years of experience working with publishers and authors to craft unique covers for hundreds of books. I have developed concepts and designs that are classic, striking and out of the ordinary. I take care with every project to find just the right image and type to communicate the story and theme of the book to readers.

I have strong skills in the most recent versions of Adobe CC — InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat. I’m highly experienced in pre-press production and can spot and solve problems before the book gets to the printer. I have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent time management. I have outstanding references available for both authors and publishing executives.
