For 23 years, I have been editing books, both fiction and non-fiction, and have been managing editor for two websites and main editor for seven more. I have also edited other short articles and blogs. I am a native English speaker, proficient in both US and UK English.
I excel at finding all the little things that editing programs and even other editors miss, such as consistency issues and correctly spelled but misused words. And of course I find all the usual stuff as well. There’s very little I miss, so you can trust me with your masterpiece.
I am adept with all manner of editing programs, including Word, Scrivener, Google Docs and GatherContent. I have clients in the USA, Europe, Canada, Mexico and Australasia. I'm based in New Zealand but can work whatever hours are needed.
I can work with all genres though I like editing fiction better than non-fiction. Science fiction and fantasy are my favorites, because a good editor can greatly assist an author in developing his characters and the storyline.
You’ll notice I have few Amazon-published books at this time. The reason for that is I’ve usually worked with non-Amazon publishers who sell their books and reports on their own websites. Please ask for examples of those, including ones mentioned below under my work experience section.
