I own a B.A. in English from Louisiana State University in Shreveport and I have passed IC3 certifications from BPCC.
I possess years of experience in editing academic papers, writing articles, and composing journals for an audience. Also, I have creatively written long and short prose pieces for podcasts (Podcastle and Horror Pod) and a local literary magazine (Shreveport Writer's Journal). Furthermore I understand SEO writing. Alongside that I have a strong grip on writing in all forms, and the confidence to never be dissuaded from a project no matter how daunting it may appear.
My work hours are flexible and my number one rule is that your deadline comes first. Lastly, I understand written and spoken Spanish fluently. I am here to create, edit, and impress in all regards!
My job as co-editor of Spectra earned me money for my contributions and my management over the journal's construction. Most of this work revolved around contacting local writers and encouraging submissions before filtering out the great from the mediocre and composing a journal around the theme of human existentialism.
During my academic career I chose to get my feet wet with some ghost-writing for articles, blog posts, and a few websites. While none were big name distributors, I feel I gained some useful experience during this time.
Generally, I work in this environment alone. I am required to manage my time efficiently to ensure that all daily work is done and all customers satisfied without the guidance of a manager. Furthermore, this job requires me to use my personal judgment following company guidelines to ensure that the service I provide is not only exceptional but also memorable. All of this is done to build a long-term, professional relationship with my customers.
