Carol Child

Carol Child – Editor

A writing and editing professional for more than 30 years, I make personal profiles and memoirs come alive; developmental and line editing.

Overview

I am a storyteller. I invite you to stop in at my Scheherazade Chronicles website and meet Moriarty, the Phantom of My Blog, and his black, fluffy dog, Dickens. Dickens doesn’t bite. He likes popcorn and will eat it all, unless Moriarty’s friend Poe’s raven gets it first. Chances are Moriarty’ll give you a tour and take you up to the cupola for a bird’s-eye view of our domain, and then sit down with you at our round table and chat over a bowl of chili he’s cooked up in the back kitchen, wedges of baguette and a bottle of wine.

Meanwhile, while you’re doing all that, presently I am editing a nonfiction book for a nonnative English speaker, and a book of creative nonfiction essays. In recent years, I have written, edited, formatted and published three books – two memoirs and a Jane Austen script performed at readers theater. The memoirs are my Dementia Caregivers Journals, each chapter more of a how-not-to than a how-to. Also, I maintain my literary blog, my portfolio website, two personal Facebook pages and a website and Facebook page for a nonprofit.
