When this scientists' group lost their regular newsletter editor, I offered to help out. My main assignments have been checking for clarity for a non-Ph.D. reader and clear flow on presented excerpts and reports.
I schedule, edit, and format daily articles from active contributors. I also seek out new writers and work with them to develop their message to be clear, factual, polite, and interesting to a lay audience.
I also handle comments and questions that come in via the website, social media, and email.
I provide services to the independent young earth creation and wider Christian communities.
When this nonprofit needs clear wording and fun information, they turn to me. In 2020 I helped develop audio scripts for a family zoo, museum, and national park app. I also regularly help polish website taglines and copy as needed.
Articles, newsletters, podcasts, and books (one published, more in the works), all focused on helping families delight in Jesus, our Creator. Sometimes I speak directly to parents, but mostly my audience is middle grade kids. They have such a delight in learning, can handle almost and concept if it's presented carefully, and are starting to think logically. I love connecting with them!
