Re-imagined the magazines visual identity though typography, layout and on set art direction. Working closely with the editorial team to manage all story plans, formulate and present a wide variety of concepts and designs. Commission and art direct on set. Develop and extend the moods and visuals for each issue. Responsible for instructing retouchers, all proofing and press passing to meet scheduling requirements and designing each publication single handedly.
I run a design studio working across book and magazine design, website design and branding. The studio is grounded in concept generation and content driven work. Ideas are fundamental to my practice—because considered concepts lead to the most unique outcomes. I take pride in creating refined, editorially-driven work that is not just beautiful, but also empathetic and ambitious. The studio values collaboration at all levels, from conception to production. Managing the studio responsibilities include designing, sourcing talent for photography and illustration, managing budgets and finances and co-ordinating with all team members for each project.
