Overview

As an editor, I have about a 50/50 split between clients writing fiction (adult and children's) and nonfiction (memoir, cultural criticism, business, and politics). I also work with first-time and career authors to advise and manage their design, printing, distribution, author platform, marketing, publicity, and events.

For 15 years, I was a professor of literature, writing, and publishing at Antioch University Seattle and the University of Puget Sound. During that time, I worked as a senior editor at Emergency Press for 10 years.

I work hard for authors using my experience as an editor and publisher, which includes all aspects of book production and promotion. My clients also appreciate that I can teach them about the publishing industry, when and where they want.

When starting work with a new client, I gain a lot by setting up a call to get a sense of the working relationship and to learn the author's goals and expectations. Publishing a book is one of the hardest things to do in life and I treat each author's book as if I was publishing it myself.

Born Fanatic: My Life in the Grip of the NFL

Michael McCormack

'The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat' doesn't begin to describe the life of someone born a sports fanatic. For born fanatic Michael McCormack, the outcome of 600 pro football games dictated his life. Only when his father's 50-year NFL Hall-of-Fame career ended did the grip of his own football fanaticism become clear. Few have learned from football what McCormack has. What he finally ... read more

A Time for Purpose: A Survivor's Path to Trial, Truth & Justice

Stephen J O'Connor

This is the story of a survivor, Steve O'Connor, a man who has lived a life of resilience, a life described by others as heroic, yet tragic. The book begins with a simple reunion, a celebration of the one hundredth anniversary of a small Catholic school in Seattle. It ends with one of the most dramatic, precedent-setting civil trials ever to take place in the history of the Catholic Church sex... read more

Racism: Reality Built on a Myth

John Lovchik

Race and separate races of human beings do not exist. They are a myth. Yet, racism is very real. Because racism is the namesake of something that does not exist, there is general confusion about what it actually is. This confusion has served to protect racism, and even reinforce it. By reviewing the entire history of racism, this book shows exactly what racism is: a subjective system of rankin... read more

As an adolescent who is expected to be hot for God, and not boys, Erika dreads that the Rapture will come before she gets to have sex. All the while she survives exorcisms, radical taboos, satanic back-masking on records, muscl... read more
