Copywriting can be fun, but it’s a skill that must be learned. Learning a new skill—while fun—takes time.
When it comes to learning copywriting, would I be better off writing? For me, the answer was yes…undoubtedly.
Brian Meeks is excellent at copyrighting and teaching. He took the difficult-to-read wisdom contained in Joseph Sugerman’s “Adweek Copywriting Handbook” and distilled it down to something writers can understand in his “Mastering Amazon Descriptions.” Plus, he has countless hours of research in testing both descriptions and ad blurbs on Amazon.
When Mr. Meeks announced he was offering his knowledge and expertise to write Amazon descriptions for hire, I knew I’d never write another one…no matter how much fun it is. Because the hours and hours I spend getting one I think is just right are hours and hours I could spend writing another chapter.
I have hired Mr. Meeks for one description, so far, and I am very glad I did. I will be hiring him for many more to come.
Save yourself time, and hire the master. We spent an hour discussing the book and the description he wrote, and I changed one word. ‘For’ read better in a phrase than ‘of’ to me. My experience was superlative.
Based on my experience, ‘taking a chance’ on Mr. Meeks is not a risk at all.
