Are you looking for an editor who can spot where your space western breaks the laws of physics?
Shortly after graduating with a bachelor's degree in physics in 1997, I began working in computer book publishing. After a career break to raise my young family, I returned to editing on a freelance basis in 2010. I am an Advanced member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP) and a member of the Institute of Scientific and Technical Communicators (ISTC).
I usually work with science and computing publishers and provide these clients with a range of services from editorial assessment to development editing/content editing to line editing/proofreading.
Most of my self-publishing clients are authors of speculative fiction (usually science fiction and fantasy, rather than horror) and to these clients I offer copy editing and line editing.
• Development editing, copy-editing and proofreading of science and computing texts
• Copy-editing and proofreading of speculative fiction
• Involved in the creation of 46 published books and 32 e-learning courses/resources
• Edited a series of computer programming manuals for a beginner–intermediate audience, of which the best-selling title sold in excess of 64,000 copies
• Several titles achieved Amazon No. 1 position within their respective sub-categories
• Development edited SQL Server and Visual Basic titles for clarity, ease of use and understandability
• Copy-edited to American English
• Tested and corrected code
