I am a friendly and organised project manager, development editor, copy editor and proofreader with over 25 years of experience. I have worked for some of the top academic publishers and a variety of other clients, both commercial and private.

I offer freelance copy-editing and proofreading. I have a strong design training so I can handle working with complex integrated books with many figures and also reports that contain graphs and diagrams. I have a great deal of experience of working on academic books in the social sciences and humanities, RIBA architecture books, financial audit reports, biographies, dissertations and journal articles, poetry, and Girl Guide annuals and associated publications. I can work on screen or on paper, using Word or on PDF documents.

In-house desk editor working on academic books for Blackwell and Polity Press. This job involved the project management of the books from manuscript to finished book, including copy-editing, proofreading and employing freelance professionals.
