About the author

At 21 years old, Katherine Keith moved to Kotzebue, Alaksa to pursue her childhood dream of becoming a dog musher. She'd always loved nature, though it wasn't until she was living in the cold and quiet of The Last Frontier that Katherine realized the immense power her natural environment had on her wellbeing. After facing numerous tragedies and finding solace in the world around her, Katherine is on a mission to share the healing power of nature. Katherine's memoir, Epic Solitude, is equal parts a love letter to Mother Nature and a journey of self-discovery. Until it's release, you can also catch glimpses into her life through her popular YouTube series, Life is in the Detours. Featuring short clips imposed with Katherine's daily musings, viewers can learn a new lesson about nature and the effect it has on us.
