When she's not exploring the world through her characters, Darci and her husband enjoy life on two acres in a high desert valley on the eastern slopes of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. This beautiful, diverse country is the inspiration for Darci’s epic supernatural fantasy romance series, The Starlight Chronicles.

While home is her creative sanctuary, Darci satisfied a travel bug exploring the wonders of Australia, Japan, Great Britain, and Europe. Her other career has been dedicated to public service as a paralegal. To balance work and life, all sorts of mindful arts and crafts are explored in her tiny studio crammed full of colorful things.

Darci's short story, Priss Starwillow & the Wolf, was the winner of a global community writing challenge and is the first installment in a fantasy adventure featuring beloved characters from her series.
