I'm a writer, editor, and public relations specialist located in Seattle, Washington. I'm especially experienced the the world of food and restaurants, and eager to take on related projects.
I've worked in the world of public relations and communications for 5+ years, and I'm well practiced in writing press releases, pitches, and brand statements--as well as content marketing copy like blog posts and email newsletters.
In addition to my PR work, I write stories about travel, art, and the outdoors for publications like Visit Seattle and the Alaska Air in-flight magazine--I cover everything from ballet to rodeos. I'm also an enthusiastic and experienced copyeditor and fact-checker!
KGPR is a boutique public relations firm that works primarily with restaurants, chefs, and winemakers. I stay in close contact with our 20+ clients and write, edit, and send press releases. I research new media outlets—then conceptualize, write, and send pitches and track their success. I also plan media events, advise on branding and marketing strategies, and create newsletters and social media content.
I wrote for the magazine's high-traffic food blog, Nosh Pit, about local chefs and food news and contributed to the magazine’s social media outlets. I also wrote pieces for the print edition, and handled large copyediting and fact checking projects.
I write stories about the outdoors, art, dining, and travel, including cover stories about fly fishing and hiking for Horizon Air Magazine, pieces about Seattle’s history and neighborhoods for Visit Seattle, and a feature on water sports in the Washington State Visitors’ Guide that was a finalist at the Folio awards.
