Angela Navarra is a graphic designer/illustrator whose clients include Scholastic Books, Simon & Schuster, Nickelodeon, Disney, Harper Collins, My Style Network and more. She has received recognition in major publications such as Print Magazine and Communication Arts. Angela graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York City with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts. She is a 1980s child, born in the swamp lands of Secaucus, New Jersey. Having grown up immersed in Italian culture, she has a deep fascination for the eccentric and bizarre. You will rarely run into her without a camera, sketch book, homemade snack bars and a plan for an upcoming road trip. She is psychotically passionate about typography and revels in any opportunity she gets to use her hand-lettering skills.
When she isn’t working she enjoys pasta making, yoga, imitating her cat, singing in cars, using the word “ninja” as a verb and traveling to new places.
I have over 10 years of experience with major brands and small studios providing illustration, design and art direction services. I’m dedicated to making sure each and every piece stands out from the crowd. Whether it’s a hand-lettered greeting card or branding a book series, I pride myself on my ability to recognize and articulate a distinct voice for every project.
Feel free to get in touch if you have a question or to inquire about a project.
Specialties: Hand-lettering, Surface Pattern, Book Design and Illustration.
