Amelia Collingwood - Editor

Liverpool, United Kingdom

Reader, editor, proofreader. I'm based in the UK and work in-house for an independent publisher.

Overview

I'm a freelance proofreader. I also assist with copy-edits by checking for factual inaccuracies and inconsistencies.

I currently work as an in-house proofer for an independent publishing press in the UK, where I've been since 2013. I also work for The Writing Squad, a literature development organisation, building relationships with young writers in the UK. My most recent proofreading projects have been a Spanish translated novel, a historical non-fiction guide to the Jewish community in Leeds and literary fiction at Dead Ink Books.

I love to read and to give feedback on writing style and grammar. I've been proofreading for over six years and am happy to work to deadlines.

Wild Ink

Richard Smyth

Wild Ink is a blackly comic story of friendship and envy, love and memory, booze and uproar, secrets and scandal. Albert Chaliapin is dead – or at least, he feels like he ought to be. He lives in a world occupied only by the ghosts of his former life (and his nurse, who can’t even get his name right). Then, one day, his past – in the form of a drunk cartoonist, a suicidal hack and a corrupt Ci... read more
