I managed the release and marketing of Pete Irvine's 12th Edition of the best-selling, Scotland The best. This included a launch event, email campaign, large press coverage with The Scottish Times and other national papers, a social media campaign, digital creative, plus an offline 'window badge' campaign which saw restaurants and venues across Scotland displaying their 'Scotland the Best' badge, as evidence that they were featured in the book. The book was a 'bestseller' on Amazon, and was the best selling book through HarperCollins eCommerce site in 2016.
This is an annual campaign that I worked on in both 2015 and 2016. It is a PR lead campaign which raises the profile of Collins as language experts, highlighting the brand's huge range of dictionaries and thesauruses, as well as other educational and reference books. The yearly campaign involved producing creative assets, multiple forms of content, huge social media management/planning and dealing directly with the press.
