I'm a freelance ghostwriter with a strong background in fiction.
I have worked as a freelance editor and writer since my graduate education in the University of Pittsburgh's MFA program in fiction. Since that time I have worked as a ghostwriter, editor and proofreader, and as a teacher of writing and a private writing coach and tutor. My strengths include working with fiction writers to sharpen their words, drawing the best out of their ideas and crafting scenes and characters that are vivid, dynamic, and memorable.
As an editor, I have helped clients overhaul existing manuscripts, fixing substantive issues as well as minor grammatical ones.
As a ghostwriter, I've worked on business-centered and international memoirs, a humor book, and a fantasy novel, working closely with the authors to bring their vision to the page, then sharpening and clarifying that vision.
As an editor of fiction manuscripts, I've pushed clients to write one more draft, to think more deeply about their characters and the overarching plot, to both show and tell. I've also helped them achieve greater readability by working with them on mechanics, from tricky point-of-view issues to attribution, down to grammar and spelling.

As a freelance ghostwriter, I have helped clients realize a number of projects, ranging from fiction to children's books. I pride myself on meeting clients where they are and working with them in the way they feel most comfortable, whether that means interviewing them and working closely over multiple drafts or taking fragments they have written themselves and reworking and rewriting that material until it shines. My foremost goal as a ghostwriter is to honor the client's vision, working with them to make sure the finished product matches the book they set out to write.
