I'm a ghostwriter specializing in nonfiction about politics and foreign policy. Although based in Washington, I am originally from Scotland and have worked in both UK and U.S. politics. In a past life, I practiced law in London as a barrister.

Recently I collaborated on a narrative history of the al-Qaeda network, published by W.W. Norton. The book has been called “concise, accessible, [and] enormously readable” by Kirkus Reviews and has been made into a CBS 60 Minutes special. I am currently working with a client on a proposal for a new book about the geopolitics of nationalist populism. My other client work has appeared in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and elsewhere.
