Freelance
Recently I collaborated on a narrative history of the al-Qaeda network, published by W.W. Norton. The book has been called “concise, accessible, [and] enormously readable” by Kirkus Reviews and has been made into a CBS 60 Minutes special. I am currently working with a client on a proposal for a new book about the geopolitics of nationalist populism. My other client work has appeared in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and elsewhere.
U.S. House of Representatives
I worked for the Democratic Steering and Policy Co-Chair, Representative Rosa L. DeLauro of Connecticut, writing speeches delivered on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives, at Yale University, and at various other venues in Washington and Connecticut. I also wrote pieces published in the Washington Post, the Harvard Journal on Legislation, and elsewhere.
British Embassy, Washington, DC
Worked for the British Ambassador to the United States, Sir Peter Westmacott, writing speeches delivered at Harvard University, the United States Institute of Peace, and elsewhere, and articles published in the Huffington Post, USA Today, and elsewhere.
Atlantic Council of the United States
Worked for a top think tank focused on transatlantic relations and international security. Collaborated on articles published in the Georgetown Journal of International Affairs, National Interest magazine, and elsewhere.
House of Lords
Advised Liberal Democrat Convener Lord Alderdice, with a focus on foreign affairs and NHS reform.
Dorsey & Whitney LLP
